2. Cancellation Policy

2.1 Cancellation by Participant

Cancellations must be sent in writing (email/message).
Refund is calculated from the date MM receives your cancellation request.

Refund Rules

  • Up to 30 days before trek: 90% refund

  • 21–30 days before trek: 50% refund

  • Less than 20 days before trek: No refund

Notes:

  • Bank/transaction charges are non-refundable.

  • Refunds are processed within 7–8 business days.

2.2 Cancellation by MountainMitra (MM)

A trek may be cancelled due to:

  • Heavy snowfall/rainfall

  • Natural disasters

  • Landslides

  • Unpredictable weather

  • Government restrictions

  • Any situation beyond MM’s control

In such cases:

  • Refund will NOT be issued, but:

    • MM will arrange an alternative trek of the same cost, OR

    • Suggest another safe, suitable trek.

  • If no suitable trek exists, MM may recommend cancellation — but standard refund rules still apply.

 

2.3 If Trek Is Interrupted After Starting

If a trek begins but cannot be completed due to:

  • Bad weather

  • Route closure

  • Safety hazards

  • Natural issues

No refund will be provided.

 

2.4 Early Return by Participant

If you return early due to:

  • Personal reasons

  • Fitness issues

  • Discomfort

  • Non-MM emergencies

No refund will be provided (example: 6-day trek completed in 5 days).
